Emily Bufferd is the Producer of The Young Choreographer’s Festival, an annual NYC event presenting the most up-and-coming 18-25yr old choreographers, described by Dance Spirit Magazine as, ”The perfect way to get inspired.”. Emily has been featured by Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher, Dance Spirit, Dance Informa, Dance Mogul, Dance Studio Life, The Dance Podcast, Beyond The Steps, the television show Inside NYC Danceand has been a contributing writer for Discount Dance Supply’s Blog, DanceLife, and Apolla Performance's Blog, The Muse.

As the Choreographer for “Made to Dance in Burning Buildings’ presented by The Public Theater at Joe’s Pub, OnStageBlog.com, “The show was choreographed brilliantly…”. Emily’s concert choreography (BEings) has been presented at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Joyce SoHo, Symphony Space, the 92nd St. Y, New York Moves, The Giving Tree Benefit, The Elan Summer Dance Festival, and Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, among others. Described as, “technically superb and amazingly emotive.” -Examiner.com, and “a display of versatility…” -The DancEnthusiast. She has recently been commissioned by The Steps on Broadway Conservatory and Central Connecticut State University, and award winning work continues to be desired by dance companies and private studios around the country and abroad.

Emily has served as a curator for Dumbo Dance Festival/Wave Rising Series/SoloDuo Festival (2010-2024), guest host for Hatch Presenting Series at The Works Studio, and is the former Co-Producer of APAP at Peridance.  She was the Production Coordinator for Director Wes Veldink for Aimee G. Spring Line, and Assistant Choreographer to Pascal Rekoert for Berenik’s Fashion Week presentation. 

Emily has performed at Teatro Galileo(Spain), Carnegie Hall, The Kravis Center, Lincoln Center, and was featured in the documentary ‘The 20Something Project’, among others. IG @ebufferd 

Tracie Stanfield

Tracie Stanfield is an award-winning choreographer, educator, creative consultant, and the founder/Artistic Director of SynthesisDANCE in New York City. Her work has been commissioned throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Latin America. Her signature voice as a choreographer has helped create and define contemporary lyrical movement in concert and commercial dance. Dance Magazine calls her classes "inspiring'” and the Huffington Post UK says Tracie’s choreography "thrilled and mesmerized with her masterful fusion of contemporary and classical dance forms.”  

Tracie’s choreography has been presented throughout NY at Symphony Space, Jazz at Lincoln Center, BAM Fisher, The Duke Theatre, Brooklyn Museum, Rose Nagelberg Theatre, Bryant Park, Brooklyn College, Dixon Place, Brooklyn Music School and Untermyer Park in Yonkers. Internationally, her work has been produced at the Benicassim Dance Festival (Spain), Edinburgh EICC (Scotland), SieteOcho (Mexico City) and Premiero Ato (Brazil). Stage commissions include Tec de Monterrey Universidad, Verismo Opera Company, Tapestry Dance Company, Kilgore Rangerettes, Brooklyn Dance Festival Company and Flux Dance Company, among others.

Beyond her work with the Spirit of Elan Award-winning SynthesisDANCE, Tracie served as the Resident Choreographer for the Booking Dance Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been regularly featured in Dance Spirit, Dance Teacher and Dance Informa Magazines. She is the Founding Artistic Director of the Brooklyn Dance Festival and serves on the Advisory Board of the Young Choreographers' Festival and various dance organizations that promote the future of dance for all audiences. Tracie is the Educational Advisor for SIETEOCHO, a pre-professional training program in Mexico City.

Film projects include The Studio School, Caseology watches online campaign, The Fairy Queen with Director Erin Levendorf, Emily Rose Laochua's documentary on water conservation (OutsideZoned: working title) and Dance4Camera projects with BT Films. 

One of the “Nine DanceMakers Making History” (Dance Spirit Magazine), Tracie travels the world teaching dancers, local dance educators and aspiring professionals. Tracie is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and tours with Fluid Dance and Energy Dance Conventions. Recent teaching highlights include Joffrey Ballet, Yale University, Amarbailar in Paraguay, TDR Tour in Ixtapa, Encore Dance Camp in Dallas and Marymount Manhattan College. Her SynthesisDANCE Teacher Training Workshops have been produced in Mexico City, Monterrey Mexico and throughout the US. IG @traciestanfield
